Murat Uncuoglu (TR), Flohil & Smit (NL), Audiobirdz (NL) and Alican Yuksel (TR) head down to Bloc23, Reguliersdwarsstraat 23 on Friday October 21th for an Amsterdam Dance Event Special. Together with Plastic Dreams, Phat Elephant presents a night of the finest experienced and young talents of the label at this world renowned music event and congress, which draws 9000 dance-professionals and 120.000 visitors to Amsterdam. Entrance to Bloc23 is free of charge.

Whilst Amsterdam is the mekka of night life, Phat Elephant rounds up some of their finest dj’s for the Amsterdam Dance Event Special. Not only are Murat Uncuoglu (TR), Flohil & Smit (NL), Audiobirdz (NL) and Alican Yuksel (TR) proudly invited to control the decks, also the new release by Roderik Flohil and Wietse Smit is presented on October 21th in Bloc23. ‘Flohil – Smit EP’ is available in over 300 online stores as from then.

The EP presented this evening features Roderik Flohil’s Hipsaka, and exciting dancefloor bound remixes by Murat Uncuoglo, E-Contact en Motio. Wietse Smit’s Sweet Butter is a potential club anthem, with remixes of Bas Struik, Audiobirdz and Alican Yuksel. Roderik and Wietse are playing back to back to celabrate the arrivle of their newest release.

Roderik Flohil & Wietse Smit

Roderik Flohil & Wietse Smit started mixing records a long time ago. Discovering that they had the same taste in music, their friendship grew. Over the years their interest in music styles changed, but as true friend they would always inspire each other. In the year 2006 Roderik Flohil & Wietse Smit decided to produce music together, mixing all influences they came across the years before. They have released tracks previously on Bla Bla Records before joining the Phat Elephant family.

A full album by the duo is expected in the spring of 2012.
